abdulrhman.eaita@gmail.comFrequently Asked Questions
How do I open the Parents area?
Tap Parents on the home screen and answer the grown-up question. The Parents area holds Settings and your child's progress. Your child does not need it to play.
How do I turn on spoken prompts?
Spoken prompts are off by default. Open the Parents area, tap Settings, and turn on Spoken Prompts. Lumo the firefly then says the letters, words, and prompts in recorded voice clips. Turn it off again in the same place.
How do I reset progress?
Open the Parents area, tap Settings, and use Reset Progress. It erases coloring progress, completed pages, learned words, quiz history, play time, and stars. It keeps the child profile and settings. To erase everything and start over, use Delete profile & all data.
What are voice answers?
Voice answers let your child say the answer to a counting question instead of tapping it. They are off by default, and a parent can turn them on in Settings. Speech recognition runs on the iPad only. ColorTalk does not record, store, or send audio. If microphone access is denied, your child can still tap the answer.
Does ColorTalk need the internet?
No. All pages, words, and prompts are in the app, so ColorTalk works offline, on a plane or in the car.
Which devices are supported?
ColorTalk is an iPad app. It runs in landscape only and is in English only.
What data does ColorTalk send?
No ads, no accounts, no tracking. ColorTalk sends only crash reports and anonymous usage counts, never your child's name, age or drawings. Progress, the profile, and settings stay on the iPad. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
Quick Tips
- Hold the iPad sideways: ColorTalk is made for landscape, so the pages and buttons are at their biggest.
- Talk about the letter: After a page, ask your child what else starts with the same letter.
- Prefer silence? Leave Spoken Prompts off. The app works fully without voices.
